There is a lot of debate around the issue on reducing the voting age to 16. At the moment, the UK’s age for voting is age 18 and parts of Britain have already reduced the voting age as too many people were complaining. United Kingdom is part of the EU (European Union) and within the EU the voting ages has already been reduced. For example, Australia have reduced their voting age to 16, this was because Governors and Prime Ministers realized that many teenagers were interested in their country and community as whatever changes made, they will some way affect them. The prime minister has already considered lowering the voting age to 16 and has said there is a possibility that 16 year olds could get to vote in the next general election in 2015. So if we carry on trying to persuade everyone to lower the voting age to 16 then it would be definite in 2015.
